I split time between 501, 663, 666,and 667. I live in the Deschutes, but according to the orthomaps, my house is 2,500 feet from the Lincoln unit, 5300 feet from the Capitol unit, and 15,000 feet from the Skook. Most of my time is spent in either the Capitol unit or the northern end of the Lincoln unit though.

It is the only place that I hunt deer. Grew up in the the Lincoln Creek Valley. Even have a few food plots tucked away.

I hunted Lincoln probably 10-12 years ago, I don't know if it's changed, but there was a huge poaching problem down there then, I recall one trip I found over a dozen elk carcases and several deer in one day. I spoke with a guy who owned a place accrossed from the Timberland's and he had people spotlighting and shooting at deer right on his property. That was a while ago, it may be better now.

I hunt there once and a while usually if I don't get one from my primary spot for the year.
